Chasing Down Edward

I had a fun afternoon with Mandee Rae adventuring in the forest...well, the trail right by her house. But seriously, the trees and the lighting I swear Edward was going to swoop by any moment. As we dodged horses, climbed tree stumps and hiked within the fallen trees we landed ourselves a piece of PNW magic.
Mandee and I have a ton of surprises up our sleeves, stay tuned for whats next with this amazing talented babe.

Behind the scenes - The Six Gypsies

I have been following Mandee Rae on IG for a while now and decided to reach out to her to see if she would be interested in doing a collaborative shoot. Much to my surprise, she was already planning on contacting me to see if I would like to style her upcoming senior project. From there, the count down began of meeting up, making flower crowns, gathering merchandise and making dreamcatchers. With two boxes on the way from Amy Grace Jewelry and  Ginger & Koi the styling was ready to go.

Check out the full series and stay tuned for more amaziness we have planned with Mandee Rae..

Layer Cake

After doing Markets for the past year in the PNW I have come to realize the trickery behind cool weather dressing. Yes, its super easy to throw on a coat, sweater, jeans and and call it for the day.....but I refuse to give up my breezy prints, graphic tees and skirts all because of a little chilly weather.

68 degrees really isn't that cold, but add some breeze and shade and that calls for a cold day in the Gypsy Tent. As every girl loves layer cake, we love to layer as well. Beneath my printed maxi skirt I am wearing tights, two pairs of socks and my heavy cowboy boots. I have a bit of winter hidden.

Behind the scenes - Bright Lights

Adventuring to a new location is always top on my list. I headed off to Georgetown to meet a crew of girls and I haven't met in person. Sketchy? I think not, that's how we roll on IG.  With a last minute location switch to a dark eclectic bar that looks like you have walked into a movie scene called The Mix, and our Team of Talented Babes -- we created Bright Lights.

Heather Reese is a straight shooter photographer with an edgy artistic flare and I could not wait to collaborate with her. She brought along the most amazing talented lighting director that made each shot serious perfection. Our model, Ashley was outfit changing in the darkness with no hesitation or questions with the perfect amount of gold painted on from Brittany.  Ending the shoot I felt dirty but in a good way, and heck thats how we all like to roll. Looking forward to seeing the final images. In the meantime, go get yourself a little dirty and be adventurous babes..
